Apex146 creates a variety of indexes based on factors that are highly correlated to performance. The indexes are created through reference data that enable us to understand historical performance and likely outcomes ahead of events. Our indexing methodology allows for continual learning and improvement in our forecasts and the likely reasons behind performance trajectory shifts.

The methodology is scientific with invaluable art in execution by the team

The analytical study of a complex system, such as action sports, cannot be pinned on a single deciding factor. While each factor, or in this case performance index, can be studied individually, it is when the indexes are put into a complex system, of many components, that it is fine tuned to offer a deeper insight to the racing world. Apex146 offers hardcore data that narrows in on fine details that impact race day through the use of predictive analytics.

Over the last three years, Apex146 has built and optimized their proprietary index platform around the MotoGP™ racing series. The team has covered three full seasons, indexing every single rider on every sector of every circuit. The team has built 15 different performance indexes that cover a spectrum of focus points to better understand each rider’s “edge” that they hold over their opponents. Studying a range of factors including but not limited to a rider’s career trajectory, behavior and execution during a race and overall strengths and weaknesses on specific types of circuits, Apex146 strives to uncover the nitty gritty details that hold the most significant weight between the flags.

The indexing platform will be applied to two new sports in the upcoming 2021 season, Downhill Mountain Biking and MXGP. The application of our unique platform to new timing based sports appears seamless as the basis of each event aligns closely with the MotoGP™ model.
